It's been a busy summer

It has been a busy summer here at CLL, Praise God. I have performed at numerous weddings and two 5oth anniversary celebrations this past sunday. Praise God for two dedicated people who not only give their life for each other "till death do they part" but also leave a lineage for their children to see and cherish and understand how important the institution of marriage is I have failed in the past to give shout out's to my roadies Joshua L and Olivia H , and for all of their inspiration. HOLLA!! =) As the summer is winding down and we are getting ready for them to go back to school, it reminds me how much I enjoy the summertime with them when they are at home 24/7 but also how much I enjoy the time when they go back to school......and...I am ready for that time =) LOL I will be performing for Impact Services golf Tourney dinner this Friday, Carol's again on saturday (every saturday of course from 5:30 to 8pm)(open to the public) We had a celebrity in our midst last saturday at Carol's: Irv Cross who does the Vikings after-games on local Television and of CBS Sports NFL today fame back in the day with Brent Musberger. This is my 9th year at Carol's now, what a blessing it has been and what great people to work for: believers who close their restaurant on Sunday to honor the sabbath, the third busiest day of the week in the restaurant industry, and God has blessed their businesses for it. Thank you again Carol for the opportunity to be a small part of your success. Will be singing at the Blaine Senior center on Wednesday the 27th, as well as 2 more weddings to close out the month of august. September rides in with more opportunity, singing at Truffles and Tortes : Dessert first function hosted by Impact services of Anoka County is one of the highlights as this is a big function, lots of fun and donations for a worthy cause. Other opportunities abound for September as well, but I will close for now. I pray all of your lives are filled with blessings overflowing and thank you for keeping up with all of us at Charlie Lucas Live. New pictures and content coming on the website this next month. Don't forget to order your Charlie Lucas Live Christmas Album in time for the Holidays!! |
Summertime.....and the livin is easy

Praise God what a beautiful summer!! Mosquitos are out in full force, allergies are up, and we have a God who loves us and sent his son to die for us. It has been a mild summer here in Minne-snowta no 100 degree days yet. Our days can be filled with joyous occasions or be littered at times with times of sorrow and remorse. Always remember that God can and will use it all for his glory. Romans 8:28 says 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Know that if HE knows the number of hairs upon your head, that he cares for YOU! |

Didn't advance on the voice this year, However God isnt through with me yet =) He has a plan and a purpose, and i look forward to being used by him, and being able to sing for his glory. Thank you all for your your prayers, and keep praying, God has a plan, for us all. We just have to get ourselves in his will and be willing to do what HE wants, sometimes what we want just doesnt line up with his desires for us. I am content in that Keep the music playing and keep praising his name !! |

Well, the time flew...... All of a sudden, we are a week away. Only God knows the outcome, but I am excited about being able to audition for "The Voice" among and around all these youngins' (southern slang for young people) I have found out some NEW information about that day, if I make it past the first audition, there will be a second one 3 days later. If I make it through that round, then......I am bound for Los Angeles in the Fall for the taping of the blind auditions. God is good ALL the time, whether I make it through Saturday and Tuesday. He has a plan and a purpose. I am just thankful for the opportunity to audition, and hopefully bring glory to his name! Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes, and suggestions on songs. I am still rumbling around 5-8 songs in my head on which to audition with, depending on what I see that day, what the judges seem pleased with or not pleased with from others. A special Shout out to my soon to be new grandchild Harlie ! She is due ANY day. again thank you for your prayers and support! Charlie I will be singing tomorrow (Saturday night the 14th from 5:30 to 8 pm) at Carol's but of course wont be there next Saturday the 21st (of course, I will be in Denver for the audition) but will be returning to my regular Saturday night gig for the last 8 years the following week on the 28th. |

Two weeks until I leave for Denver Co for my audition with The Voice. I am narrowing down my song list of possible audition songs. Anyone have any suggestions? My daughter Olivia thinks it should be "Walking in Memphis" as time dwindles I need to narrow it down....I SO appreciate all of your input ! Thank you all for the kind well wishes, and prayers ! If this falls under the providence of God's will in my life, I would love to be able to take it to the next level ! "To God be the glory, great things HE has done" |

All we like sheep have gone astray We've turned everyone to his own way And God laid all our iniquity on Him Like a lamb they led Him out Yet He opened not His mouth And His precious blood poured out An offering for sin He was wounded for our transgressions He was bruised for our iniquities Our punishment was upon Him And by His stripes we are healed He had no beauty or majesty Clothed in lowly humanity And though we saw Him We could not see The glory of His grace But every law was satisfied The moment He laid down His life The power of death was destroyed The price was paid He was wounded for our transgressions He was bruised for our iniquities Our punishment was upon Him And by His stripes we are healed Ray Boltz music (c)1989 Shepherd Boy MusicASCAP |

An epiphany from God about TRUTH
Posted on 25 October, 2013 at 4:27 |

I feel as though God has given me an epiphany tonight that I feel I must share about truth....... REAL truth and the need to search for it. I spent many years, hearing the truth, and then forming my own opinions about what the truth was, but that is where satan gets us, when we start forming our own truths, and where we bury ourselves so deep in satans lies that real truth is the furthest thing from what WE think truth really is. We find truth in it's purest form in God's word. The bibles says in Psalms 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. I pray that you are all so deeply passionate for the truth, even if it hurts at times, in fact especially when it hurts...because it is then when we examine ourselves and our motivations at their deepest level, and our desires at the primal level, and we can purify ourselves through the suffering no matter how great or small, BECAUSE we are driven to want the best not just for ourselves but for our families, our children, and their children....and we want our children to have that same self awareness to be indefatigable in our search for the truth. Christ's sufferings were for us....so that we may be able to find the truth through HIS suffering......what greater love is this??? "To God be the glory, great things he has done ! So loved he the world that he GAVE us his son, who gave up his life as the payment for sin, and opened the gates to heaven so ALL may go in........" The words to "To God be the glory" a hymn written in 1872 and published in 1875 by Fanny Crosby Music....a WONDEFUL medium for sharing TRUTH =) |
